At Nature's Access Forest School, we offer a range of innovative outdoor education programs designed to provide children with enriching and transformative experiences in nature. Our programs are carefully crafted to promote holistic development and foster a deep connection with the natural world. Our educators have a strong connection with nature and are certified through Child and Nature Alliance of Canada with a strong experience in childcare. All educators have a valid first aid/CPR and clean vulnerable police check.
We believe that spending time outdoors, engaging in hands-on activities, and exploring the wonders of the forest can have a profound impact on children's lives.

We encourage campers to develop a sense of responsibility and accomplishment and encourage group clean up after each new activity. This helps develop life skills, a sense of belonging with each given task. We welcome friends to join circle time which brings our campers together to share stories, songs and creative moment; fun introduction games are played at circle time to encourage children to get to know one another.
Nature's Access believes in a rotation of daily lessons with 3 main rotating activities - life skills, baking or creative art. Lesson time and the development of life skills and help children feel a sense of belonging, responsibility and accomplishment as they contribute to various life-based activities. Our activities are directly tied to the season and help foster community. Finishing up our lesson with group clean up, allows us to work together to prepare the tables for lunch time. While kids nourish their bodies, stories are told aloud accompanied by engaging visuals of our beautiful property.
Outdoor time is spending each day whether rain or shine, it helps build resilient bodies and a strong connection with our bodies and nature. We ask for campers to come to camp each day dressed appropriately for the expected weather that day. While we are outdoors; children play in gardens, get creative in the forest and are given the opportunity to use their imagination to move their bodies within nature to creative games and adventure within the property.
Our program works to create full day of child led play, fresh air and gentle learning. We strive to create a peaceful way for children to learn and grow.
NATURE DETECTIVES

Nature has inspired talented artists since people lived in caves! Campers will get creative with nature this week as we put together resources from nature to create beautiful art. Each day consists of a step closer to a unique art piece that will be presented at the end of the week. We will start by collecting and natural textures to create an application for our colours. Campers will then collect plants, berries, flowers and weeds, to create natural colour to paint a unique art piece using their imagination and creativity.
Campers will have an opportunity to learn what is growing on the farm and how to properly harvest and identify different plants growing in Central Elgin. We will have some time to discuss the history of land and how we can work together as community to help respect and look after the world we live in. Each camper will have a chance to grab a shovel and help plant, maintain and work in the garden. Camper's will have an opportunity to choose a plant and plant a seedling. We will learn the steps of growing a plant and they can study and learn as their seedling grows at home.
